Laying
the foundation of faith for your child
 We think kids are cool; they are also loud, playful and
honest, but as a parent you already know this. Our children's ministry is
designed to assist you as you raise your child. Our ministry is dedicated to
serving both your child and you. Unlike other churches, it is not our plan to
keep you and your child separated by keeping you busy. We design ministry with
your busy active family in mind.
Building blocks encompasses our entire
ministry and our philosophy of ministry. It is our desire to help your child
connect with God, with family, and with friends.
Weekly Building blocks
Team Kid
takes place for our children on Wednesday nights @ 6:45. It happens in rooms 202
& 203 in the Family Life Center. Your child will have an opportunity to be
involved in various activities throughout the year: Bible study, character
development, art, music, mission activities, and junior bells.
Kids Zone is
our Sunday morning Bible study for kids @ 10:00. Presently Kids Zone meets in
the “Sonshine Café” downstairs in the FLC. The 6th graders have
their own room in the FLC, room 202.
Seasonal Building blocks
Crosstraining is
our summer children's programming for 1st grade thru 6th. It happens on
Wednesdays @ 6:45 p.m. beginning in June. This is a time where we integrate
sports, fitness, recreation, and Bible study. This is a favorite among the kids.
Kids love sports, we can't figure out why.
Camp Buckhorn is
the "funnest" week all summer according to the campers. This is an
overnight camp (3 nights) @ Paris Mountain State Park in July for children who
have completed 2nd grade thru 5th. This is camp the way it was intended to be:
fun, rowdy, and memorable.
Summer Un-school is
a series of field trips for children who've completed 1st grade thru 5+. This
usually takes place in early August, so mark your calendar
Upward Basketball is
an affirming way to join in the fun of playing basketball. The fun begins in
November and runs through February.
Building
blocks for preschoolers
While parents and families attend worship & Bible study
classes on Sunday or Wednesday, preschoolers and kindergartners have a
wonderful, nurturing experience awaiting them appropriate for their age and
stage of learning.
It is the mission of our preschool ministry to provide a safe and fun learning
environment for all preschoolers and kindergartners as they are taught the
message of God's love and care for them. Children interact with their teachers
through stories, songs, and play.
It is our desire for children to feel safe, loved and cared for as they begin to
understand God’s plan for them through His Son, Jesus.
Currently we have three classes for our preschoolers: infants, one's &
two's, and three's & four's. During Bible study and Worship they meet in the
same rooms for your convenience.
