Missions is THE center of our life together.  We encourage our people to take initiative. They can begin a mission project or affirm and participate in numerous projects already in place. For the past four summers, we have planted a small garden to grow vegetables for distribution through Triune Mercy Center. We also prepare a monthly meal and serve it to the homeless. Each summer youth and adults take a mission pilgrimage; in the summer of 2017 it was to Fredericksburg Va to minister of a low income apartment complex.   Next summer our youth will serve in the Appalachian Mountains.  We have adults who help build schools and dig wells in Africa or work with kids in Brazil. Our youth have served in the Dominican Republic with Haitian Refugees.

Two other local issues we care deeply about are child abuse and hunger.  Each Spring we support Project Pinwheel which is a local effort in Greenville to raise awareness for child safety and to protect children from abuse. Also we grow a garden and give the vegetables away to Greer relief to fight hunger on a local level.

Pinwheels: a symbol of our commitment to fight child abuse

Whether your next step is to dream your own dream, give money to a project, or participate in a local or global mission trip, we encourage you to make the decision to put a foot forward and take a step to go into God’s world. Serving people will challenge you to stretch and grow in your love and faith.
