Our Mission
Children are the focus of the CDC through nurturing routine care, education, safety, cleanliness, nutrition, and love. We maintain low staff to child ratios which allows for individualized attention and helps foster strong bonds between teachers and children. DHEC regulations are followed for sickness and exclusion. We use redirection and teach problem solving skills so that the children can learn to solve their own problems.
Our Program
The CDC is a licensed facility (#23353) for 120 children ages 6 week through the year before Kindergarten. We are open Monday through Friday from 7AM-5:30PM, twelve months of the year. Our school year runs August to August. The Creative Curriculum is used by all the children to develop and grow through hands-on learning.

Children go to chapel every other week led by the Associate Pastor. Teachers provide weekly Bible stories and activities along with daily prayer. Enrichment programs are offered at the center for children age 3 and older.

All children are given the opportunity to nap from noon until 2:00 PM each day. There is a formalized emergency plan located in the parent handbook. We provide a hot lunch two days per week and two snacks every day. We have a four week rotating menu so that the children are exposed a wide variety of foods.

Every child is evaluated twice a year using the ASQ screening tool. The teachers share the results of the screening with parents at bi-annual parent conferences along with samples of the child’s class work and art.
